Glamor Queen Asin Thottumkal born on 26th October 1986, well known as Asin is an Indian Actress from the State of Kerala. She was born in a Catholic family in Kochi, Kerala. Her father Joseph Thottumkal, a business man originally from Thodupuzha. Her mother, Seline Thottumkal, a surgeon. Asin quoted that her name means "pure and without blemish".

Asin debuted in a supporting role in a Malayalam film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001 at the age of 15. After one year she was back again with a blockbuster Telugu Film Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi with famour Telugu Hero Ravi Teja. In that telugu movie she acted as a Tamil Girl, which subsequently fetched her the Telugu Filmfare Award fo Best Actress. In the same year she won the Santhosham Best Actress Award for her performance.

After the Movie of Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi she acted in Shivamani, Lakshmi Narasimha and Gharshana in Telugu. These movies placed her Top Position in the South Indian Film Industry.

Her First Bollywood film Ghajini in Hindi was a great success in Asin's life. It was remake film of Tamil Ghajini. With this success she turned into nationwide fame. She looks photogenic and fresh and acts brilliantly.
